Expert Nursing Support & Training
We provide prompt, professional nursing support designed to strengthen agencies and improve outcomes for individuals with IDD. Our services include training, supervision, and compliance delivered by skilled Registered Nurse Trainers (RN-Ts).
Services & Supports
Our nursing responsibilities cover the essential areas of training, clinical oversight, compliance, medication management, and agency support — ensuring agencies remain compliant and individuals with IDD receive safe, high-quality care.
Training & Education
- Deliver training for DSPs in medication administration (8-hour Rule 116 MATP class).
- Provide ongoing staff education on safe medication administration, prescription updates, and side effect awareness.
- Facilitate advanced DHS-approved modules (insulin, enteral tube meds).
- Conduct re-evaluations and retraining to maintain competency.
Clinical Oversight
- Review clients’ health assessments before training staff.
- Perform nursing health assessments in community living facilities.
- Create Self-Administration of Medications Assessments (SAMAs).
- Review health risk screening tools (HRST) after QIDP ratings.
Compliance & Documentation
- Document all authorized trainings and provide compliance records.
- Audit MARs, document errors, and prepare corrective actions.
- Create/review adverse drug reaction reports and coordinate provider follow-up.
- Maintain Controlled Substance Count Sheets and quality assurance procedures.
Medication Management
- Collaborate with providers and pharmacies to ensure accurate orders.
- Monitor and support eMAR systems for proper staff usage.
- Perform cycle fill medication check-ins and verify physician orders.
- Inspect medication storage for security, organization, and compliance.
Agency & Regulatory Support
- Develop corrective action plans in response to state audit findings.
- Remain available for consultation, ongoing support, and DHS audits.
- Ensure HIPAA and Rule 116 compliance in all tasks.
- Travel to agencies as needed.
